Goal types
- Pageview: track visits to a specific page
- Custom event: track events you send from your code
- Outbound link: track clicks to external sites
- File download: track file downloads
Create a goal
Open Goals
From a site dashboard, click Goals.
Pick a goal type
Choose the event you want to track.
Set the match pattern
Use exact, contains, starts with, or regex.
Save
Your goal starts tracking right away.
Tip
Use “contains” for directories like /pricing or /docs.
